The Los Angeles County Department of Public Works started a process to update the Los Angeles River Master Plan (LARMP) in March of 2018. River LA was hired to led the community engagement & outreach for this comprehensive effort - working with local leaders, NGO’s and those living along the river.

Ours partners on the River Index, architect Frank Gehry and his firm,, landscape designer Laurie Olin and his firm, and the engineers at Geosyntec were hired to craft the main analysis and recommendations. This comprehensive new master plan for the 51 mile river was unanimously adopted by the County in 2022.
